abstract A DECT transmission / reception terminal comprises a plurality of transmission / reception antennas for communicating with a DECT base station, a device for determining the quality of a communication link between the DECT transmission / reception terminal and the DECT base station, and a device for switching from one transmit / receive antenna to another transmit / receive antenna connected to the determining means to switch when the quality of the communication link is below a predetermined threshold. This results in an antenna diversity effect for the DECT transceiver, which improves the transmission quality of the communication link.
