Proposed are branched, largely unsaturated fatty alcohol (ether) phosphates, which are obtained by dimerizing DOLLAR A (a) unsaturated fatty acids with 16 to 22 carbon atoms in a manner known per se, DOLLAR A (b) separating the monomer fraction obtained in the dimerization, DOLLAR A (c) converts the branched, largely unsaturated fatty acids contained in this fraction into the corresponding fatty acid methyl esters, DOLLAR A (d) hydrogenates the branched, largely unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters to give the corresponding branched, largely unsaturated fatty alcohols, and DOLLAR A (e) optionally alkoxylated and phosphated in a manner known per se. |
