abstract |
Method and device for computer-assisted tomography suitable for producing sectional or partial images of a local area and panoramic images of the object to be examined using reduced radiation doses and shortened exposure times. To produce partial or sectional images of a local area of the object, an X-ray projection image of a local area of the object is generated on a two-dimensional X-ray image sensor by rotating a swivel arm within an angular range, while a conical X-ray beam of only a small width in the direction of rotation of the beam is only one Part of the object to be examined is detected, locally emitted, while the center of rotation of the swivel arm is held at the central position of the local region to be examined.
