Continuous process for coating fibers, in which - Continuous fiber bundles are infiltrated with a metal salt solution to which one or more oxidation-sensitive substances have been added - The infiltrated continuous fiber bundles are then subjected to a heat treatment, in which a decomposition reaction takes place, which leads to the formation of metal oxide and one or more gases, so that after the end of the reaction, the individual fibers are covered with a metal oxide layer which is penetrated by spherical cavities of the former gas bubbles , and - The fibers coated in this way are separated from one another by mechanical breaking of the metal oxide bridges between the fibers. |
