abstract |
A liquid concentrate for preparing a multiphase formulation for controlled release of drug(s) (I) comprises: (a) a water-miscible coherent phase; (b) at least 10 vol.% (based on (a)) of a disperse phase which is not (or only partially) water-miscible; and (c) at most 50 % based on (a) and at least 50 % based on (b) of (I), which on sudden dilution of (a) with water under 'sink' conditions is completely released from (b) within 2-12 (preferably 4-8) hours at 37 deg C. |
