Process for the preparation of polyether polyols from polysaccharides and their use for the production of PUR foams |
abstract |
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of polyether polyols with OH numbers between 250 to 500 by alkoxylation of polysaccharides with ethylene and propylene oxide and subsequent glucosidation and their use for the production of PUR foams. DOLLAR A The process works in the presence of preferably alkaline catalysts, in which the total amount of a C¶3¶ / C¶4¶-Aklylenoxid component, preferably propylene oxide, required for reaction with the starch, together with 10 to 60 wt .-% ethylene oxide based on the Total amount of alkylene oxide is reacted at temperatures from 60 ° to 100 ° C., the subsequent glucosidation is carried out according to processes known per se in the presence of lower alcohols and the polyether polyols obtained can be processed directly with diisocyanates to form PUR foams without the addition of catalysts. |
