titleOfInvention Production of homoconjugated trienes via a sequential non-statistical Wittig reaction
abstract A process for the production of homoconjugated trienes is described, which is characterized in that DOLLAR AA) in a first step, a bis-ylide is reacted with a first aldehyde component under reaction conditions such that only one ylide group of the bis-ylide reacts selectively and DOLLAR AB) the reaction product from step (A) is then reacted in a second step with a second aldehyde component to give the homoconjugated triene.
