titleOfInvention Biopsy needle, needle holder and biopsy system
abstract A biopsy needle for taking tissue samples for use in a needle holder, in particular a biopsy gun, is described. The biopsy needle comprises an inner needle which has a recess in the area of its distal end for receiving the tissue sample to be removed and a first connecting element for connection to a first coupling element of the needle holder in the area of its proximal end, and an outer cannula in which the inner needle is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable and which has a second connecting element in the region of its proximal end for connecting to a second coupling element of the needle holder. The biopsy needle is characterized in that the second connecting element comprises a fixing element which is adjustable between a fixing and a release position, the inner needle and the outer cannula being longitudinally displaceable relative to one another in the release position and the inner needle and the outer cannula being fixed against one another in the fixed position . A needle holder for such a biopsy needle is also described.
