titleOfInvention | Process for the production of stilbene / styrene copolymers |
abstract | In a process for the preparation of copolymers based on 1,2-diphenylethene and styrene by polymerizing the monomers DOLLAR A a) 1 to 63% by weight of 1,2-diphenylethene, in which the aromatic nuclei are separated by up to 5 C¶1 -12¶-alkyl radicals can be substituted, as component A, DOLLAR A b) 37 to 99% by weight of styrene, in which the aromatic nucleus can be substituted by up to 5 C¶1-12¶-alkyl radicals, as component B , DOLLAR A c) 0 to 50% by weight of further copolymerizable monomers as component C, DOLLAR A, the total amount of components A, B and C giving 100% by weight, component A and a polymerization initiator are initially charged and the Components B, if appropriate, C continuously into the polymerization mixture. |
