abstract In a method which is carried out on a device for processing pumpable media contaminated with pollutants, the medium to be processed is first introduced into a pre-reaction container (7), to which the ozone-containing gas (33) is fed. The medium is transferred from the pre-reaction container (7) to a main reaction container (11), to which gas (35) containing ozone is fed. The medium is irradiated with electrons (20) in the main reaction vessel (11). The medium is transferred from the main reaction container (11) to a post-reaction container (14) separate from the pre-reaction container (7), to which gas (37) containing ozone is supplied.
