titleOfInvention Process for the separation of glycosylated and non-glycosylated proteins
abstract A method for the partial or complete separation of glycosylated and non-glycosylated proteins is described, in which DOLLAR A a) a triazine dye immobilized on the matrix is incubated with a mixture of glycosylated and non-glycosylated proteins, DOLLAR A b) the matrix then washed to remove the unbound proteins, and DOLLAR A c) the proteins are eluted by a gradual or continuous increase in the ionic strength or the pH value, DOLLAR A whereby non-glycosylated proteins and proteins are collected separately in the resulting eluate fractions with increasing degree of glycosylation become. By using this method it is possible, for example, to produce a human albumin that has been freed from glycoside bonds and expressed in yeast cells.
