abstract The invention relates to kaolin-containing moldings as building material for paths, facades, floors and other areas of application. The object of the invention is to provide a new shaped body which, after hardening, incorporates metakaolin and forms an inorganic framework structure and is very dense and has only a low water absorption capacity. The molded body contains 5-18% by weight of water glass, 3-13% by weight of metakaolin and 92-69% by weight of fillers from the group SiO¶2¶, CaO, Al¶2¶O¶3¶, glass dust, glass powder , Mica, talc and mixtures thereof, based on the total composition, and is produced by mixing the individual components with stirring elements under the action of a centrifugal force in order to achieve compaction of the mixture, the speed of rotation of the stirring elements being in the range from 150 to 1000 rpm with a dwell time of 20 to 90 seconds, the shaping takes place and the shaped body is hardened and dried at a temperature of 20 to 140 ° C.
