abstract Water jet nozzle for shaping the water jet in water jet cutting heads at the exit of a collimation tube. In a nozzle body (1) with its central bore (2) adjoining the collimation tube, nozzle inserts (5, 6 and 7) made of wear-resistant material are arranged one after the other in its tip (3) into the central bore (2) widened into a receptacle (4) with differently shaped nozzle tube segments (8, 9 and 10) inserting a nozzle tube with sections of different shapes. The nozzle inserts (5, 6 and 7) are made of different, wear-resistant pieces of material. The nozzle tube segments (8 and 10) of the outer nozzle inserts (5 and 7) can be expanded to form funnels with favorable inlet and outlet geometries. The nozzle tube segments (8, 9 and 10) can have a non-circular cross-section.
