abstract Loading the inner walls of a fuel injection system with an organofluorine compound. A hydrocarbon residue, which is partially fluorinated or chlorofluorinated, is selectively attached to imperfections on the surface of the inner wall via a polar or dipolar group, as a result of which the hydraulic friction of the fuel on the inner wall is significantly reduced. The proposal is particularly suitable for fuel injection valves in motor vehicles with valve needles.
