Described is the use of creatine and / or creatine derivatives as humectants (moisturizers) in cosmetic preparations, in particular creatine monohydrate and creatine ascorbate optionally together with other suitable humectants especially in creams, gelatinous or liquid preparations, but also administered orally become.
