Cell-specific promoter of the decoupling protein 3 |
abstract |
The present invention is in the field of gene promoters that mediate the transcription of proteins that play a role in the energy balance of cells and in obesity. The invention relates to DNA molecules which contain recombinant cell-specific promoters of decoupling protein 3 (Uncoupling protein 3; UCP 3) or functional derivatives thereof. The invention further relates to cells which contain these DNA molecules. The invention furthermore relates to uses of these DNA molecules and the cells according to the invention, and methods for finding substances which can influence transcription. These procedures can also be performed in high pressure sentence pattern format. Methods are also disclosed which allow substances or factors to be found which bind to the DNA molecules according to the invention. |
