abstract | Process for the continuous recovery of (meth) acrylic acid from the reaction gas of a catalytic gas phase oxidation by DOLLAR A (I) quenching the reaction gas by evaporative cooling with a high-boiling solvent, DOLLAR A (II) separation of the (meth) acrylic acid from the quenched reaction gas by absorption into the high-boiling solvents, DOLLAR A (III) separation of the solvent loaded with (meth) acrylic acid into a first partial stream (IIIA), which mainly contains (meth) acrylic acid, and into a second partial stream (IIIB), which mainly contains the solvent, DOLLAR A (IV) partial stream (IIIB) is stripped freely with inert gas (meth) acrylic acid, DOLLAR A (V) the purified solvent from partial stream (IIIB) is returned to absorption stage II and DOLLAR A (VI) where (meth) acrylic acid from partial stream ( IIIA) is obtained by distillation, with all liquid residual streams obtained in stage VI being returned to quench stage I. |
