titleOfInvention | Surface modification of microtiter plates with pH and / or redox sensitive and / or molecularly imprinted polymers as well as the use of such modified microtiter plates in assays or test and screening systems |
abstract | The general aim of the present invention is the modification of the surfaces of microtiter plates with pH- and / or redox-sensitive and / or molecularly imprinted polymers and the use of such modified microtiter plates in assays or test and screening systems. Accordingly, one aspect of the present invention is the generation of a polymer film on the surface of microtiter plates by chemical or photochemical grafting, radical or ionic polymerization or polymer crosslinking. Another aspect of the invention is that such polymer films are synthesized in the presence of templates, by molecular polymerisation. Another aspect of the invention is the immobilization of enzymes or receptors on the surface of microtiter plates modified by pH and / or redox-sensitive and / or molecularly shaped polymer films. Furthermore, the microtiter plates, which have been modified accordingly by combining polymer films and enzymes or by molecularly imprinted polymer films, are used for the determination of substances which are enzyme substrates or templates. The principle of detection for the substances is based on tracking the color change of the polymer applied to the surface of the microtiter plate, which is induced by protonation / deprotonation or redox reaction due to the template binding or / and the enzyme reaction triggered by template binding. |
