titleOfInvention | Procedure for the detection of a mutation in pancreatitis |
abstract | A procedure that can be used in the laboratory routine for the simplified detection of a disease-associated mutation in hereditary pancreatitis is to be developed. The method is said to be just as safe, but cheaper and technically less demanding than direct DNA sequencing. DOLLAR A A mutation-specific nested PCR was developed that fulfills all the characteristics of the objective. DOLLAR A The method can be used in routine laboratory diagnostics for the following indications: DOLLAR A - patients with chronic pancreatitis and a positive family history DOLLAR A - patients with chronic pancreatitis before the age of 35 DOLLAR A - patients with chronic pancreatitis with proven cystic fibrosis DOLLAR A - Patients with pancreatic cancer before the age of 45. |
