titleOfInvention | Pharmaceutical preparations for the targeted substitution of estrogen deficiency in the central nervous system |
abstract | The present invention relates to the use of selected steroids for the production of pharmaceutical preparations for the targeted substitution of estrogen deficiency in the central nervous system (CNS) without influencing other organs or systems. DOLLAR A These steroids are characterized by the fact that, in contrast to systemically effective natural and synthetic estrogens, including 17alpha-estradiol, they have selective neurotropic, estrogen-like transcription effects. DOLLAR A It was surprisingly found that the selected steroids in their use according to the invention DOLLAR A - cause a selective influence on the transcription of estrogen-dependent genes in the CNS and changes in corresponding physiological parameters; DOLLAR A - CNS specific transcription effects in doses that have no biological effects in tissues of the reproductive system; DOLLAR A - CNS-specific transcription effects at such doses in which neither 17beta-estradiol nor 17alpha-estradiol show efficacy; DOLLAR A - and the transcription of estrogen-dependent genes in the CNS do not influence the effect of secondary 17beta-estradiol. |
