Insulating elements (I), preferably building board are of vegetable material and are bonded by means of water soluble silicates with addition of cellulose and starch derivatives. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of (I) from vegetable fibers by intimately mixing the components and pressing in an appropriate mold or by continuous processing of the mixing in appropriate press installations, preferably a plate or band press and drying. |
