titleOfInvention | Plastic parts for use in anesthesia and / or artificial respiration devices |
abstract | A resusable plastics part for narcosis and/or plastics respiration appliances is new. The surface of the part coming into contact with respiration gas consists of a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), selected from TPE materials based on aliphatic polyether/ureas, TPE-S materials based on styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene and styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene, TPE materials based on EPDM/polypropylene, natural rubber/polypropylene, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber/polypropylene, (halo)butylrubber/polypropylene, ethylene vinyl acetate rubber/polyvinylidene chloride, and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, in which the softening temperature of the TPE is higher than 140 deg C, preferably higher than 150 deg C. |
