titleOfInvention | Magneto-optical recording medium and magneto-optical recording method |
abstract | The record carrier includes first (3), second (4), third (5), and fourth magnetic (6) layers which are formed one on top of the other. The respective Curie temperatures of the layers fulfil the condition Tc3 < Tcl < Tc2 < Tc4, and which have a rectangular magnetic anisotropy in a temperature range between room temperature and their respective Curie temperature. The first magnetic layer is formed in such way, that it assumes the magnetisation of the second magnetic layer only above a first temperature, which lies between room temperature and the Curie point. The third magnetic layer is formed in such way that it assumes the magnetisation of the fourth magnetic layer at least at room temperature. The second magnetic layer assumes the magnetisation of the third magnetic layer at least at room temperature. This is influenced by the magnetic field of the fourth magnetic layer at a temperature above the Curie point, such that it assumes a magnetisation defined by this magnetic field. |
