abstract |
Operative rehabilitation of the upper eyelid is obtained in facial paralysis by use of an upper lid implant with several drilled holes for pretarsal fixation. The implant is flexible to several vertical joints for optimum pretarsal position and adaptation to the cornea. The implant may be made of gold, platinum, titanium, or titanium coated with precious metal. |
