abstract |
For denitrifying exhaust gases, urea is added to the gas in the form of granules which have been ground by a fan blower (27) and/or a grinder. The granules are inserted into the suction opening of the fan blower, which is a component of the pneumatic conveyor system. The fan blower has an operating speed of min. 1500 rpm and pref. 3000 rpm. The ground material passes through a sieve with a mesh width of 0.09 mm giving a residue of <= 40 wt%. The feed capacity is at a rate of 1-3 standard m<3> of air per kg of granules. A cooling lance (29) is at the entry point for the granules, to cool the granular material below its softening point. |
