titleOfInvention Method and arrangement for fast synchronization of two carrier signals
abstract According to the invention, during synchronization a first analog carrier signal (bs) has at least temporarily a predetermined phase angle. A further reference carrier signal (rs) is modulated with the same predetermined phase angle, the phase difference of the two modulated carrier signals (bs, rs) is determined and the phase angle of the reference carrier signal (rs) is corrected by the phase difference that has been determined. In this way the phase difference can be determined and corrected very rapidly. The method provided for in the invention is used to advantage in the demodulation of carrier signals (bs) having high data rates, especially those emitted in bursts.
