abstract | A method for manufacturing a powder paint comprises freeze drying, at a pressure of up to 50 mmHg, a paint solution having a melt temperature of at least -30 deg C and made by dissolving or dispersing in a solvent comprising at least 50 wt.% tert-butanol: (a) a heat curable vinyl type copolymer having a glass transition temperature of 40-100 deg C and a number average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000 and obtained by copolymerising a (meth)acrylate monomer having at least 4C branched or cyclic substituent as the side chain and a (meth)acrylate monomer having a functional group as dispensable components; and (b) a crosslinking agent. |
