abstract Extraction of lipophilic substances from plant material comprises subjecting the plant material to a high pressure carbon dioxide extraction step and a high pressure adsorption, both carried out in the absence of atmospheric oxygen, and then recovering the extract in an expansion vessel by reducing pressure. Plant waxes or resins obtained by this method are also claimed.
