Oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions, especially O/W microemulsions, O/W/O or O/W/O' emulsions, contain (a) an aqueous phase, (b) optionally usual water-soluble or -dispersible substances, (c) an oil phase containing suspended cosmetic or dermatological ultra-violet (UV) filter(s), (d) emulsifier(s) (A) with pH-dependent lipophilic property and/or becoming more lipophilic with increasing temperature and more hydrophilic with decreasing temperature and (e) optionally other usual substances soluble or dispersible in the oil, preferably selected from other emulsifiers, especially W/O emulsifiers. The UV filter is selected from bis-resorcinyltriazine derivative(s) (I). Also claimed is a method of incorporating (I) in these emulsions. |
