abstract | Method for detecting rarely occurring cells (i.e present in small numbers among other cells) comprises (i) preparing a test sample in the form of a cell suspension; (ii) incubating the cell suspension with at least one indicator antibody associated with the cells to be detected and a labelling group, optionally in the presence of a detergent that causes transient permeabilisation of cell membranes; (iii) fixing the cells on a solid phase; and (iv) analysing the cells by detecting the label. |
