Gramina pollen allergen mutants for specific immunotherapy, their production and use |
abstract |
The invention relates to modified recombinant allergen mutants which can be obtained from recombinant allergens derived from allergens obtained by means of extraction from natural raw materials, such as the pollen of the species Phelum pratense. These modified recombinant allergens stimulate the lymphocytes of persons suffering from a pollen allergy to bring about proliferation and cytokine synthesis, but have a significantly reduced capacity to bond with the IgE antibodies contained in the serum of lymphocyte donors and with grass pollen allergen specific IgEs. The inventive modified recombinant allergens can therefore be used for a specific, individual allergy treatment. |
