abstract |
A guanidine blocked isocyanate group containing polymer and/or polymer mixture (I) is prepared by reaction of one mole of diisocyanate with 0.1-1.9 (0.3-1.5), preferably 0.4-1.2 moles of a guanidine having at least one active hydrogen atom. Also claimed are: (i) pigmented epoxy or hybrid powder coatings (II) containing, as a crosslinking agent, the polymer and/or polymer mixture (I) in combination with a polyepoxide and optionally a carboxyl group containing polyester in addition to processing and toughening agents; and (ii) coating compositions prepared from the hardened epoxy or hybrid powder coatings. |
