abstract |
A transdermal therapeutic system to release active agents to a substrate is characterised by the composition of the system of a substrate (1) bearing a separating layer (2), a film (3) containing the active agent and a release-coated protective layer (4), in which the separating layer (2) consists of a material, the bond of which to the film (3) can be released. Such systems can be produced by printing technology to have small thickness and great flexibility, where the substrate/separation layer complex may be replaced by a release-coated substrate. Problems of disposal are reduced by a printing process restricting the active agent-containing region to the application area. |
