titleOfInvention Process for the recovery of anhydrous dimethylamine from reaction batches
abstract Recovery of anhydrous dimethylamine (I) from reaction mixtures comprises injecting carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere in closed pressure reactors and binding the excess (I), with formation of liquid dimethylammonium dimethylcarbamate (II) in an exothermic reaction. The CO2 produces a pressure drop and escapes harmlessly when the reactor is opened.
