A bacterium of the genus Pseudomonas obtained from soil samples from the oilfields of Borislav, Western Ukraine, by cultivation in inclined agar tubes or on agar plates in a nutrient broth having a composition (in g/l) of 20 g mannitol, 10 g NaNO3, 0.1 g CaCl2.2H2O, 0.4 g MgSO4.7H2O, 0.2 g cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, 0.005 g methylene blue, 0.44 g Na2HPO4.2H2O, 0.34 g KH2PO4, 15 g agar and trace salts (2 ml/l) 2.0 FeSO4.7H2O, 1.5 MnSO4.H2O, and 0.6 (NH4)6Mo7O24.4H2O with the addition of 1.l5 % Bacto-Agar (RTM) at a pH of 7.0, the bacterium being capable of the bioproduction of rhamnolipid-alginate polymer complexes. |
