abstract The apparatus has a detector (4), comprising a matrix of detector elements based on amorphous silicon, and a computer (6) for producing the pictures which are displayed on a monitor (7). The computer carries out segmentation of the information and eliminates information not required. A set of additional pictures is generated in which specific information becomes visible. Pattern recognition methods are used, with frequency components, amplitudes and spatial expansions. Estimated bone structures may be subtracted, also soft tissue parts, and techniques of angiosubtraction used.
