Process for the treatment of waste water by means of membrane filtration |
abstract |
A process treats waste water carrying residues, especially tensides discharged from a textile washing process. The waste water consists of a volume which has been used for rinsing and carries a lesser pollution load and a second volume holding the washing caustic agent. The water is first subjected to microfiltration and then to nano-filtration and the filtrate is then reused. The process comprises: (a) the rinsing water is subjected to nano-filtration; (b) the washing caustic is subjected to separate microfiltration; (c) the respective filtrates are used as fresh rinsing water and fresh caustic solution. Also claimed is a suitable assembly. |
