abstract The invention relates to dendrimers comprising an initiator core with at least two functional groups and at least two saccharides. It also relates to the use thereof for various purposes e.g. as a catalyst in enantioselective syntheses, as a cellular adhesion inhibitor, as a carrier for medicinal agents or for purification of glycoproteins by affinity chromatography. Preparation of a dendrimer is shown in Fig. 1/5.
