abstract Reaction product (I) of H2S with a multi aziridine cpd. X-(Az)n or X-(Y-Az)n (where X is aryl or alkyl or NR1; R1 is H, hydrocarbyl, -Az or -Y-Az; Az is -R2-N-CH2-CHR3;R2 is alkylene; R3 is H or alkyl; Y is -OOC-, -R2OOC- or -NHCOO-R2-OOC- and n is 2 or 3) is used in adhesive compsns. pref. contng. 5-95% epoxy resin and 95-5% (I), esp. consisting of 2 parts reactive polyglycidyl ether of 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propane and 1 part adduct of bis-(2-aziridinoethyl)-benzene and H2S. Pref. adhesives are used in laminate prodn. by bonding at least two structural members, and give strong metal-to-metal bonding. Pref. adhesive for laminates contains 75 parts polyglycidyl ether of 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propane, 25 parts epoxydised novolak resin and 65 parts product of H2S and ethylene-bis-(3-azirinopropionate).
