titleOfInvention Gas sensor
abstract The invention relates to a galvanic cell comprising (a) an oxygen-ion-conducting solid electrolyte; (b) a gas-sensitive material which contains at least one salt of the structural formula Mem(XOn)p, Me being a metal, X being C, S or N, and the symbols m, n and p characterising the particular stoichiometric conditions; (c) a material arranged between the oxygen-ion-conducting solid electrolyte and the gas sensitive material which is conductive for cations of the metal Me and for electrons and seals a voltage-determining region of the solid electrolyte surface to be gas-tight; and (d) two electronically conductive voltage taps on surface regions of the oxygen-ion-conducting solid electrolyte.
