abstract | An apparatus for controlling the heat-treatment of a light-sensitive lithographic printing plate (P5) after its exposure employs infra-red radiant heaters (11) within the reflector hood (12) whose energy output is regulated via the applied voltage (Vd) from the driver circuit (23). This latter circuit (23) receives a signal (Vc) from a controller (21) which in turn responds to a temperature sensor (22) delivering a plate temperature signal (Vt) obtained as the plate (P5) leaves the pre-casting process and the controller (21) can additionally compensate for variations in the plate thickness via a further sensor (not shown). |
