titleOfInvention Procedure for determining the pollutant content in solutions
abstract A method for measuring the content of harmful substances in solutions comprises the use of bacteriorhodopsin as a biosensor and carrying out photometric measurement of absorption at fixed wavelengths over a set wavelength range. Also claimed is a similar method using the same biosensor, in which the biosensor is immobilised on a suitable carrier and brought into contact with the solution, resulting in a change in the colour of the biosensor layer depending on the concentration of harmful substance.
