abstract The mechanical heart valve (1-9) is especially designed for use in artificial blood pumps and channels. It has a rotating closure body round realistic pins or a rotary axis. In the open setting, the whole body contains a flow channel with an S-shaped centre line. The S-shaped channel lies on a plane at right-angles to the rotary axis, and the closure body is operated by the blood flow.
