abstract In a process to expose a fluid to intense radiation: (a) during its exposure to energy through a thin-walled tube, the fluid passes through the tube at a rate which is dependent upon the intensity of the radiation so receiving a given dose; (b) one or more dosimeters are placed in the fluid and measure the intensity of the radiation as they are flushed through the tube with the fluid; and (c) the dosimeter is removed from the fluid following passage through the tube, and the radiation level observed. Also claimed is an apparatus for the above process.
