titleOfInvention | Polymers with triarylamine units as electroluminescent materials |
abstract | An electroluminescent material contg. one or more polymers having structural units of formula (I). in which Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4, Ar5 and Ar6 are the same or different and are opt. substd. mono- and/or polynuclear, opt. linked by one or more bridging members and/or condensed aryl and/or heteroaryl groups. Ar1, Ar3, Ar5 and Ar6 all have two bonds extending from them and of Ar2 and Ar4 each have one bond extending from them. R1 = H, 1-12 C hydrocarbon group which may be substd. and which may contain a heteroatom, or Ar7. Ar7, independently of Ar1 - Ar6, has the same meaning as Ar1 - Ar6, and n = 0, 1 or 2. Also claimed are the use of polymers of formula (I) as electroluminescent materials and hole conductors, a process for preparing the polymers (I) in the form of a layer on a substrate, and electroluminescent devices comprising one or more active layers, at least one layer being of a polymer (I). |
