abstract | Process for the acid-catalyzed reaction of C 3 -C 12 -olefins which have a secondary or tertiary carbon atom, with a reactant from the group of C 3 -C 12 -olefins with a secondary or tertiary carbon atom, the branched C 4 C 8 alkanes and the C 1 -C 4 alkanols on heterogeneous acidic catalysts, which leads to a reaction equilibrium with incomplete reaction, characterized in that in a boiling reactor a) the starting material flows through a catalyst section, b) separating the reaction mixture effluent from the catalyst by distillation into the desired reaction product (s) as the bottom phase and into the incompletely reacted portions of the starting material as the vapor phase, c) withdrawing from the bottom of the boiling reactor part of the bottom phase as reaction product (e) and circulating the residue via a bottom heating, d) completely condensing the vapor phase of b) on a condenser with respect to the incompletely reacted portions of the starting material, and e) feeding the starting material, completely condensed in d) together with fresh starting material, to step a), the fresh starting material being fed to ... |
