abstract |
An inhibitor bound to a substrate of high molecular weight inhibits a metabolic enzyme capable of being activated and is useful as molecular marker to determine the activation of said enzyme and diagnose the presence of said enzyme. Also disclosed is the use of a thrombin inhibitor bound to a substrate of high molecular weight as molecular marker to detect coagulation activation for the purpose of diagnosing coagulation and monitoring a therapeutic treatment. Preferably, the use of dextran-hirudine or PEG-coupled hirudine as molecular marker is disclosed for diagnosing coagulation and monitoring a therapeutic treatment. |
