titleOfInvention Method of connecting electrical elements to a hybrid circuit
abstract Gold surfaces [1,4] are formed as contacts (edge connectors) on a hybrid circuit [2] e.g. steel or ceramic, and an electrical component [3] such as a temperature sensor. The carrier material of the component can be a ceramic plate. The permanent connection between the gold contacts is formed with the aid of a laser [8] and the output is reflected [9] through an optical system [7] to be focussed [6] onto the contact point. An alternative process has energy carrying electrodes pressed against a connecting wire held against a contact pad.
