abstract A composition resulting from the reaction, in aqueous phase, of (i) aluminium hydroxide, (ii) an alkali metal (eg Na) hydroxide and (iii) calcium and/or strontium hydroxide is an effective antichlorine and antiacid composition. The addition of such a composition to PVC resins or to olefinic resins from Ziegler catalysis prevents the degradation of these resins under the effect of light or of heat, in particular during extrusion.
