New process for mfg cpds of the general formula; R = (hetero)aromatic rest R-H (II) with H linked to a C atoms; X = rest X-H (III) with H linked to a heteroatom; comprising (a) Reacting a cpd R-S-T (IV) with T being a thiophile gp linked to S by a C or heteroatom, opt in presence of a cpd (III) and a base able to convert (III) into its conjugated anion, with an electrophilic reagent able to transfer to the S atom two additional bonds, each to one rest (Nu<1>, Nu<2>). (b) Intermediates of the following assumed general formulae are formed at least temporarily. Nu<1>, Nu<2> = H (Va) and Nu<2>-H (Vb) with H linked to a heteroatom, at least Nu<1> = X or a cpd (III) and a base able to convert (III) into its conjugated anion are present. (c) Decomposition of the S(IV) cpd, opt after ligand exchange and scission of a sulphur contg fragment, leads to cpd (I). |
